Volunteer income tax program offered in 2016

HAND (Home Assistance of Neepawa District)  board members met on Jan. 28 at 11:30 a.m. to enjoy a homemade congregate meal dinner before the annual general meeting.  Board members for 2016 are Jim Cockburn (chairman), Rod Shuttleworth (vice-chairman), Maureen Cox (treasurer), Donna Newton (secretary) and members Lola Wark, Eleanor Cochrane, Lisa Pottinger and Janet Scott.  Velda Bradley was welcomed as a new board member.

Students from Quebec experience Manitoba

From Wednesday, Feb. 3 to Tuesday, Feb. 9, the Neepawa Area Collegiate (NACI) Grade 9 French class hosted a group of students from the Quebec school Collège des Hautes Sommets. They are taking part in the Sevec program, which is a two week exchange meant to help English speaking students practice their French and French speaking students practice their English.

Neepawa’s Louis Riel Day celebrations planned

This Louis Riel Day, there will be something for the whole family at Neepawa’s Winter Wonderland. The Town’s Leisure Services department, along with a variety of local organizations have created a fun filled day.

Bradwardine book donates interest

It’s been 13 years since Bradwardine’s 360-page history book was published. Bradwardine and District — A Century and More records history of the area and its people from 1880-2003. Kenton news - Feb 10, 2016

On Monday, Feb. 8 Kenton Legion Ladies Auxiliary hosted the Zone 26 meeting at Kenton Legion Branch 118 clubroom. Bringing greetings from RM of Wallace-Woodworth was Gerry Nolan and from Kenton Legion Mike Ramsden, who is also the deputy district commander.
