Riverdale Munucipality - Jan. 19:

 Staff Sgt. Wikander and Cpl. Boychuk reviewed the rural RCMP calls for 2015 with comparisons from 2014. There will be a new position (Community Constable) for public relations at schools, etc.  Aaron Tycoles and Donna Morken from Rivers-Daly Community Development Corporation discussed the need for an economic development officer to market the municipality; council was asked to consider this position during budget deliberations.

The Gladstone Handi-Workers held their fourth meeting of the year on Feb. 2 in the Gladstone United Church Annex.  Ten of the 26 registered members were in attendance.

National Snowmobiling Environment Month

As we celebrate National Snowmobiling Environment Month during February, Snoman (Snowmobilers of Manitoba) Inc. and Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO) remind riders to keep nature beautiful. Through the new “snowmobile responsibly” campaign introduced by CCSO, Snoman encourages everyone to take personal responsibility for his or her decisions and actions on the snow this winter.

Flippin' good meal

St. James’ Anglican Church’s annual pancake and sausage supper was held Tuesday, Feb. 9. It was enjoyed by a large attendance of people, including little ones and a two-week old baby girl, new daughter of Chris and Sarah Belcher (nee Frank).
