Safeway Championship update: Chudley falls to Fowler

Day 2 of the Safeway men's provincial curling championship is well underway in Neepawa.

In Draw 5 action, defending champion Rob Fowler of Brandon defeated Jerry Chudley of Neepawa 9-4 in seven ends.

Chudley opened the game by scoring a deuce, only to have Fowler respond with a pair of his own in the second end.

Fowler would score two more in the fifth end and finished the game with four points in the seventh. Fowler moves along in the A side, while Chudley drops to the B side.

Meanwhile, Terry McNamee of Brandon and Steen Sigurdson of Fort Rouge also advanced in the A side while Kelly Robertson of Neepawa and Graham Freeman of Virden advance on the B side.
