Neepawa Farmers pleased with home opener

The Neepawa Farmers have started the Tiger Hills Hockey League season in impressive fashion, with a 6-3 win over the Gladstone Lakers on Friday, Oct. 24.

Forward Lance Nugent lead the way with a hat trick in the first period and ended the evening with five-points. Devin Epp and Travis Tilley also started the season off on the right track, contributing a four and three point night respectively. The other goal scorer for Neepawa was Neil Ernest

The Gladstone Lakers top players were Jesse Toth, with a goal and an assist and Devon Smith, who notched a pair of assist on the evening. Dan Leslie and Graham Tapley also scored for the Lakers. 

The next game for Neepawa is Saturday, Nov. 1 in Pilot Mound. As for the Gladstone Lakers, their home opener will also be on Saturday, when they host Glenboro.
