Province announces byelections for Arthur-Virden and Morris

The province announced recently that byelections will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28 in the provincial constituencies of Arthur-Virden and Morris.

The necessary documents providing for the Jan. 28 byelections were signed and issued on Dec. 27.

Nominations in the constituencies will officially close on Jan. 13 and advance polls in both will be open from Jan. 18 to 25.  On voting day, polls will remain open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There are currently 37 New Democrats, 17 Progressive Conservatives, one Liberal and two vacant seats in the Manitoba legislature.
