Someone showed me some pictures of a recent sunset. The flaming red and fiery orange melted over in a bright yellow. It was spectacular. The sunsets on the prairies are beautiful. I could stop on the side of road and just watch this mighty ball disappear behind the far horizon. It makes me stop and think “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

When I enter a hospital room I see a total different array of colors. Often the walls are painted a light green or faint beige. It is restful on the eyes and brings a calm atmosphere in the room. It makes us speak in a soft voice. “Be still, and know that I am God.”

The sun is shining and I see sparkles on the snow in my front yard and on the roof of the garage. It has not been stepped on and looks pure white. Psalm 12:6 comes to mind: “The Words of the Lord are pure words ...”

God’s Word, the Bible, will stand forever and be a strength to our hearts.
