Observation on Easter

Resurrection! Brought back to life. The trees and shrubs outside still look bare, but we know that soon they will come back to life.

I brought my resurrection plants up from the basement. When I cut them back in the fall they looked dead. Today, I noticed some green stems coming up from the soil and soon some leaves will form and some pretty blue flowers will grow.

This Friday, we remember that Christ took the punishment for our sins and was crucified. It was a very cruel punishment for someone who was without sin. However Christ did not stay on the cross. He was buried and after three days, He arose from the dead.

“He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!” (Robert Lowry).

This Sunday, the first day of the week, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

When we gather together with family and friends let us remember what God, our Creator, has done for us.

Happy Easter to you all.
