Five running in upcoming Neepawa byelection |

By: Kate Jackman-Atkinson myWestman.ca When nominations for Neepawa's upcoming by-election closed last Friday, three candidates had stepped forward for the position of mayor and two for the position of councillor.
The candidates for mayor are Bob Durston, Murray Parrott and Ken Waddell, while the candidates for councillor are Allan Drysdale and Sheri Grant. The by-election for both positions will take place Feb. 28, from 8 a.m. to 8: p.m. at Neepawa's Royal Canadian Legion. Advanced polls will be held on Tuesday Feb. 14, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town of Neepawa Civic Administration Office at 275 Hamilton Street. Voters who will be away during the election and advanced polls can make application to vote by mail. The form is available at the Municipal Office or on the town's website under notices. |
