Tuesday, 03 January 2012 |
myWestman.ca The Parkland Snowshoe and Outdoor Club will be hosting a public expedition at the Mount Agassiz Ski Area on Saturday, Jan. 7.
The all-day event, which begins at 9 a.m. at the Agassiz Park Lodge in McCreary, will be a moderate to difficult snowshoe, as Mount Agassiz is an abandoned ski hill and has many inclines, which should make for a challenge for anyone looking to get outside and get some exercise.
Mount Agassiz also promises beautiful scenery and views. Perspectives on what is hoped to be redeveloped at the ski area will be discussed and people attending will witness the vision and opportunities first hand.
If attending, snowshoes and cross-country ski equipment are available for use. Suitable snow/hiking boots are also recommended. For more info, click here. |
