The Santa Clara Senior Baseball League announces its player awards for the year |

myWestman.ca The Santa Clara Senior AA Baseball League announced its individual player awards for this season.
The top pitcher award went to John Hutton of the Minnedosa Mavericks. Teammates Andrew Richards and Nick Krutkewich finished runner-up. Hutton had four wins with 23 strikeouts for the undefeated Mavericks. The top rookie (18 and under) award went to pitcher Ryan Sneesby of the Neepawa Cubs. Runner-ups were Torey Scott (Carberry Royals) and Tyler Reiner (Plumas Pirates). Sneesby had two wins and one tie, and no losses. He also did well with the bat, with a .360 batting average in league play. The most valuable player award went to Warren Birch of the Carberry Royals. Runner-ups were Devon Foord (Minnedosa Mavericks) and Scott Newton (Neepawa Cubs). Both of whom were catchers. Birch meanwhile, plays infield, pitcher, and catcher. He also helps manage the Royals.
