Manitoba Finance seizes contraband cigarettes |

myWestman.ca Manitoba Finance reports that on Monday its special investigations unit seized approximately 54 cartons or 10,800 contraband cigarettes in the Pipestone area. Forty-eight cartons of cigarettes, which did not have Manitoba Tax markings or stamps and therefore are not legal to sell or possess in Manitoba, were seized from the Dakota Chundee Smoke Shop and a further six cartons of contraband cigarettes were also seized from two individuals leaving the premises. myWestman.ca The Brandon University faculty strike is over. An agreement was reached by the BU administration and faculty association late Friday night after a full day of negotiation between both sides. Classes will be back in session on Monday at 6 p.m. Daytime classes will not be held that day.
The strike lasted 45 days. |
