NCHL doles out year-end awards

The North Central Hockey League announced its year-end awards.

The most valuable player is Devrin Stonehouse of the Miniota-Elkhorn C-Hawks. Stonehouse finished tied for eighth in league scoring with 43 points in 18 games.

Rick Scott of the McCreary Mustangs was voted the league¹s most gentlemanly player. Scott finished sixth in league scoring with 45 points, and only four minutes in penalties.

Steegan Stoski of the Grandview Comets won the league scoring title with 69 points, while Russell¹s goaltending trio of Jerrod Auger, Darcy Van Damme and Nolan Frieze had the best goals against average with a combined 2.45 average.
