Parts of Christmas are “used” in the sense that there are certain family and community traditions we follow every year: when and where the tree goes up, how and when presents are opened, when parcels get mailed and the shortbread is ready; the seniors Christmas supper, decorating our homes and businesses, the Santa parade. Parts of Christmas should be new though.

The first time the word Christian in used is in the book of Acts, 11:26 where it says, “The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.” This would indicate they were disciples of Christ, learners of Him and followers of His teachings and lifestyle.
