The Transportation Safety Board has reported the reasoning for the biplane crash that took place at the Brandon Airport early Tuesday afternoon.
After an investigation, the safety board states that the loss of a propeller blade caused the aircraft to shake and thus, caused the engine to fall out mid-flight.
The crash sent two men to hospital and forced the runway to shut down for a few hours. The crash also forced an incoming WestJet Encore flight that was coming in from Calgary to Brandon to be diverted to Winnipeg.
