On Feb. 1, Parks Canada held a very well attended open house in McCreary. The open house was the second of three which are aimed at gathering support to amend Riding Mountain National Park's management plan to allow the re-establishment of a ski hill on the east escarpment.

After a recent presentation from local EMS personnel, Home Assistance Neepawa & District (HAND) is fundraising to purchase at least one stair chair. The stair chair is used to assist EMS staff move patients up and down stairs more easily and safely.
