A world class pianist and violinist will bring a variety of beloved instrumental songs to the Gladstone and District Community Centre on Dec. 11.
They are Roy and Rosemary, who first met while accompanying The Canadian Tenors, now The Tenors.

On Nov. 19, The Kidney Foundation of Canada – Manitoba Branch announced it has chosen eight elementary schools from across Manitoba to receive its second annual $250 grant that will help the schools carry out a Drop the Pop Challenge for their students.

December has arrived and even though it doesn’t appear to be winter when we look out the windows, we’re quickly reminded everywhere we go that Christmas celebrations are well underway. We have a good selection of seasonal children’s books, adult fiction, recipe and craft books as well as a few seasonal favourite DVDs for lending. They’ll be available until early January before we pack them away again for next year.

On Tuesday, Nov. 24 and Thursday, Nov. 26, Spruce Plains RCMP officer Jason Gurevitch and a few Neepawa Natives hockey players visited Kindergarten to Grade 3 classes at Hazel M. Kellington School to talk about bullying. The presentations included reading a Berenstain Bears book about teasing to the kids and having class discussions.
