Neepawa looking to clear up snow removal challenges

Administration for the Town of Neepawa is asking for a little bit of understanding from residents when it comes to the first major snowfall of the winter. A low pressure system struck southern Manitoba earlier this month and left between 12 to 15 centimetres of snow across the region.

The Vivian family has long been tied with the hotel industry in Neepawa.  Spanning three different locations, for almost a century, a Vivian has owned one of the town’s hotels.

Clarification for community funding

Rivers & Area Community Foundation (RACF) applied to The Burns Foundation for a grant to assist in the replacement of the roof of the train station. RACF wishes to have a home in the train station to honour the bequest from Bernard Goekoop, whose donation formed RACF and who loved to sit and watch the trains.
