A century old home in Neepawa is nothing more than a memory today, after an afternoon fire destroyed the structure. Just before 2:00 p.m., Neepawa Fire Department received a call of a blaze that had broken out inside a building on Mill Street.

Firefighters arrive to find a portion of houses' north end ablaze. Firemen with Neepawa, as well as members with the Minnedosa Fire Department, were able to get control of the fire, though there were a few flare-ups over a period of two hours

Built in the early 20th century, this building was originally located on the St Dominic's Roman Catholic Church property. It was moved to its current location some time in the 1980s. Additional pictures and up-to-date information will appear in the Sept. 16 edition of the Banner & Press.
