On the evening of Mar. 1, 2018, sometime after 11:00 p.m., a group of people went into the ski shack at the Neepawa and area cross-country ski club trails and proceeded to damage the property. Windows were broken, the small table was torn off the wall and all area maps and paper on the walls were burned.

No suspects have been named at this time. The shack is maintained by Club members and is available for use by skiers, tobogganers, and snowshoers. Money for repairs and for maintaining all facilities at the Winter Park come from voluntary membership fees from mostly skiers. The ski club will be accepting donations to assist in replacing the windows. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Neepawa RCMP at 1-204-476-7340.
