Coming to the Neepawa United Church on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 pm, are the amazing duo of Reg Downey and Andreas Flested. Reg and Andreas have performed together for many years and offer a diverse concert program, featuring big ballads in Gospel and classic pop.  Well-known songs like “You Raise Me Up”,  “The Holy City”, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, as well as powerful songs they have written themselves will be on their agenda.

The concert will offer more than good music. Reg, a graduate from NACI, a hair stylist by day and a performer by night, has a large personality and a unique gift of communicating in a way that enraptures the audience and takes them on a journey of humour, hope and joy. Reg originally comes from Carberry, but now lives with his family in Denmark. Andreas, a very versatile classical pianist, has his master’s degree in music from Copenhagen University and both artists complement each other with their lively vitality. They enjoy a synergy that lifts both them and their audience to a deeper and better place.

Their Neepawa performance is part of their CD launch tour where they are introducing “Bridge, A Collection of Songs from the Heart”. This concert certainly represents a local lad who has distinguished himself internationally. For a taste of what this duo offers, check out YouTube online. Proceeds from the concert, sponsored by the United Church Choir, will help defray the costs of the newly installed lift at the United Church. After the concert, enjoy some refreshments and meet Reg and Andreas.
