On June 16, the Beautiful Plains Community Foundation gave out $103,510 in grants at their annual grant presentation luncheon. Community Fund grants totalling $38,700 were made to 12 local organizations. The money for these grants comes from the interest earned each year on the Community Fund.  Each year, a group of Foundation board members form the Grants committee, who evaluates the requests and makes a decision regarding allocation of funds.

This year, local organizations requested a total of $181,977 in funding. At the grants luncheon, $59,810 in designated fund grants were also given out. These grants represent the interest earned on accounts that have been set up specifically to fund certain organizations or areas of interest.

This year, the NACI Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) also gave out their grants at the BPCF grants luncheon.
