Join us on Thursday, April 28 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm to hear Laura Reeves of Prairie Shore Botanicals share the wealth of information that she’s compiled in her book, Laura Reeves’ Guide to Useful Plants. Ms. Reeves has a passion for the natural landscape and all the wonders contained within. She’ll give us a quick tutorial on many native Manitoba plants and their little-known nutritional and healing properties, as well as many practical uses and delicious recipes that we can all make at home.

The spring session of Storytime is well underway and continues on Fridays at 11:00 for ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers. Everyone enjoys the stories and there’s a craft project for every child to make. No registration required.

We also have one more author coming in May. Angela Misri, author of two young adult mystery novels, will be coming to the Neepawa Library as part of the TD Canadian Children’s Book Week. Watch for more information on her visit on May 10.

Canada celebrates National Poetry Month in April of each year. Events are planned across the country and there’s information online at poets.ca and other social media sites.
