Neepawa Belles, Beaux and Builders 4-H

My name is Ella Koshel from the Neepawa Belles, Beaux and Builders club. This is my first year of 4-H. I think it’s so fun, I love 4-H.

Here are some of the things that we have been doing:

We were happy to help Susan Phillips sort and organize food for the Christmas food hampers. The Discover foods group made pretzels. The Cloverbud Project made marshmallow catapults and learned about simple machines. The adventure into 4-H group (that’s my group) made monster cookies and pudding cones. The Fins, Feathers and Fur group went to Neepawa Big Buck night. Thanks to Perry and Maureen Sneddon for showing them how to score buck antlers. They also learned gun safety and shooting at the Neepawa Rifle Club.

We hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas. We look forward to lots more fun and learning in the new year.

Neepawa 4-H Beef Club

The Neepawa and Area 4-H Beef Club has 20 members. Our club has been very active in the months of October to December. We have worked at bingo in November and December which took place in the Arden Community Hall on most of the Tuesdays in the month. Our club took part in the Remembrance Day parade, which took place on Nov. 11 at the Yellowhead Hall. On Nov. 15, we had our Weigh Day.  On Wednesday, Nov. 18 at the Neepawa Legion Hall, we held the Manitoba Beef Producers meeting and supper. On Nov. 28, we took part in the Santa Claus Parade.

We had our Christmas Party on Dec. 20 at the PCU Center in Portage La Prairie. We would like to send out a huge thanks to Eleanor Jarvis for making all of our 4-H aprons for the Club. We had a huge success with all of our bingo working.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:55pm by Dylan Oshanyk. Our most recent meeting was on Monday, Jan. 4. We are so excited to be getting closer to speech night.
