RM of Blanshard, Sept. 29: Stacking tires properly at the waste site was discussed.  The recycling depot in Oak River was discussed. Information was received regarding using shredded tires to repair frost boils in roads; road repairs still to be done due to the excessive June rains were discussed.

Fortune Electric was hired to place hydro into the recycling depot in Cardale and into the ball booth on the sports grounds. The crusher was in the Krahn pit on Sept. 8. The Clay Purchase agreement with Gordon Paddock was signed. A motion authorizing Gill Farms Ltd. to stockpile approximately 5,000 yards of crushed gravel on the road allowance on the southeast quarter of 35-15-22W was rescinded; new tenders will be accepted for the same, with work to be done by Dec. 15. TransCanada Pipeline’s request to build an additional approach into SE 21-13-22W was granted; they will also provide a culvert for the approach.

Finances: Disaster financial assistance of $46,489 was received. Ken Beatty Construction Ltd. will crush 10,000 yards of gravel at the McIntyre pit for $3.10 per yard. As senior election official, Diane Kuculym will be paid $1,050 with the understanding that RM of Saskatchewan and Town of Rapid City are each responsible for one-third of that cost ($350); she will also be paid 43 cents per kilometre  travel expenses. Accounts of $152,890.70 and unpaid invoices of $16,923.92 were passed for payment. The next meeting is Oct. 14 at 8 a.m.
