After a couple months of meeting-free summer, Riverdale Harvest held its first meeting on Sept. 10.  We saw constant summer usage, averaging around 11 singles, five couples and 17 families with approximately 40 children in each of the three months: June, July and August.

We continue to look into the fall and winter at possible fundraising events. If you are having an event and would like to raise money or food for the food bank, please feel free to let a board member know.

We received a food donation from the hockey camp that ran at the rink this summer ,and more than 300 pounds of potatoes/onions/carrots came from the high school fundraiser this fall. Others have donated throughout the summer and we are so thankful for you remembering us!

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Rivers United Church. This is a time change for us (an hour later than normal) and we hope it enables more to attend; all are welcome!
