Local business thrives “Under Pressure”

David Creighton and his family moved from Calgary to Rivers in 2012 (wife Lesley [nee Ratz] is originally from the area). Although he was an airline operations manager for 12 years, he also owned and operated a power washing company for nine years.
After retiring from WestJet earlier this year, David decided that he so enjoyed the pressure washing business he wanted to start a similar operation here. Clean Under Pressure was born this spring and the basics of the business are pressure washing of buildings (homes, condos,vehicle dealerships, etc.), farm/industrial equipment and window cleaning. It is a fully-licensed and insured company utilizing the newest equipment and eco products.
“We use the latest in hot and cold pressure washing equipment; this ensures that we can adjust our method of cleaning depending on the situation,” says David. “Our environmentally-friendly soaps are biodegradable and will not harm your plants, grass or animals in any way.”
When cleaning windows, David uses equipment which is the first of its kind for the Westman region — it purifies ordinary tap water.
“The Pure Water System uses technology that turns ordinary tap water into the purest water in the world, creating a powerful cleaning agent that leaves surfaces spot-free, without cleaning chemicals or detergents. While impurities in ordinary tap water cause spotting and streaking, pure water becomes an aggressive cleaning agent. This de-ionization system yields 99.99 per cent pure water which dries without any streaks or spots, and there is no need for any soaps or squeegees. Windows cleaned with cleaning agents are generally left with a very fine film which eventually attracts dust and particulates. Pure water cleaning leaves windows absolutely spotless and "film-less," meaning they will actually stay clean longer! Cleaning without detergents or chemicals ensures compliance with environmental regulations and reduces costs.
“Another added benefit with the Pure Water System is that water-fed telescopic poles are used to do the cleaning, eliminating the need for ladders or lifts, for accessing windows up to 50 feet. This eliminates any health and safety concerns. It is a completely environmentally-friendly way of cleaning windows as no detergents are used. It means no more damage to buildings, lawns and planted areas from badly-placed ladders, lifts or scaffolding.”
