Neepawa resident Darryl Gerrard has announced that he will be seeking the nomination as the Progressive Conservative candidate for the constituency of Agassiz.

Gerrard has been the constituency president for the last seven years and says that he is now ready to serve the constituents in a more dedicated role. Gerrard said that running provincially has been something he has always wanted to pursue.

Gerrard has worked in the agriculture sector for 20 years and has worked with many area farmers over that time. He is also a business owner in Neepawa.  He and his wife have one daughter.

As the campaign gets under way, Gerrard says that he is looking forward to meeting as many people as possible and discussing issues that affect the area.
