RCMP respond to erratic driver

At about 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Brandon RCMP received a report of an erratic driver eastbound on Highway 1 near Moosomin.

At 8:30 p.m., a separate report originated in the Virden area involving the same suspect vehicle, which was a 2011 Black Hyundai Sonata with a Saskatchewan licence plate. 

It was reported the vehicle was exceeding 130 km/hr and driving in a dangerous manner.
 
Brandon RCMP responded and intercepted the vehicle near the junction of Highway 1 and 270. 

A 19-year-old man from Winnipeg was arrested and released on a promise to appear in Brandon provincial court on Aug. 21. 

The male is facing several driving offences and possession of a controlled substance.
