Man and woman from Brandon face drug charges

A man and woman from Brandon are facing charges of dealing cocaine after the two were caught with the drug inside their home. 

Armed with a search warrant, police seized 24 grams of cocaine, scales, packaging material, $540 in cash and a can of bear spray from inside the home, located on Westaway Bay. 

The 26-year-old man and 31-year-old woman were arrested and have each been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon. The woman also faces charges of possession of the proceeds of crime.

Both suspects have been released and are to appear in court on July 10.
