Shoal Lake RCMP respond to fatal collision

A 37-year-old male from Edmonton has been pronounced dead as a result of a collision on Highway 16 on Wednesday.

Just before 5:00 p.m. that day, a semi-truck hauling a crane was travelling eastbound on the highway, approximately 25 kilometres west of Shoal Lake. The vehicle went off the highway and tipped on its side. The male driver was the only occupant.

He was not wearing a seatbelt. An autopsy has been ordered.
