Next week, a repaving project on Highway 5, north of Neepawa, will begin.  In total, 22 km of road, from the south junction of PR 265 to PR 261, will be repaved.

Through the Village of Riding Mountain, the road will be expanded to include paved shoulders but beyond that, a highways spokesperson says that there won’t be any other physical changes to the road.

The project is expected to take about two months. Depending on how the contractor does the work, drivers should expect some delays, but will mostly face a reduced speed limit through the construction zone.

The total project is expected to cost $8 million.
