Central Plains RCMP make arrest in break and enter

Just before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, Central Plains RCMP received a report that suspicious individuals had been spotted through video surveillance on the Enns Brothers property in Portage.

The Portage RCMP, Crime Reduction Unit and Police Dog Service responded immediately. Upon arrival at Enns Brothers, police located two males on the property. Following further investigation, both males were arrested.

Jonathan Bernard Pritchard, 25, and Ted Warren Wright, 43, both from Esterhazy, Sask., have been charged with possession of break-in instruments and attempt to steal machinery. Both were remanded in custody. They have since been released on a recognizance and scheduled to appear in Portage provincial court on June 30.

No further information is available. Police continue to investigate.
