Souris RCMP respond to barn fire

On Friday, May 9, shortly before 7:30 p.m., Souris RCMP along with local emergency services responded to a barn fire in RM of Glenwood, approximately six and a half kilometres north of Souris.

The barn, which housed a combine, was engulfed in flames. The building and equipment were totally destroyed by the fire. Damage estimates are not available.

There were no injuries as a result of the fire.

Investigation resulted in the arrest of two female youth from the RM of Glenwood area. 

Both youth will be charged with mischief. They have been released to their guardians on a promise to appear with an undertaking, with conditions to attend court in Brandon on June 10.
