Audience members who attended last Thursday’s concert at the Roxy Theatre in Neepawa were rewarded with an evening of fiddle music, step dancing, singing and humour.

Hosted by the Neepawa and Area Lily Festival, with proceeds going to Neepawa Palliative Care, the Fitzgerald family’s band “Everything Fitz” performed flawlessly, providing three-part fiddle harmonies, solos on fiddle, mandolin, guitar and of course the popular group step dancing.

The Fitzgerald family consists of parents Paddy and Pam and children Julie, Kerry and Tom. Absent from this tour was son Pat, who has a daytime job in the orthotics industry. He was replaced by singer and guitarist Nate Douglas. The band “Everything Fitz” last appeared in Neepawa in October, 2009 as part of the Kaleidoscope series. Since that time, Julie has become a two-time Canadian grand master fiddle champion with brother Tom being a one-time winner.
