Tegan and Sara win three Juno awards

The 43rd annual Juno Awards took place at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on Sunday night.

The Calgary twins Tegan and Sara picked up a field-leading three wins at the event. They won the pop album of the year for "Heartthrob", single of the year and group of the year.

Arcade Fire won the album of the year for "Reflektor", while A Tribe Called Red won for breakthrough group. Serena Ryder won for songwriter of the year as well as artist of the year, while Justin Bieber won the Juno fan choice award.

Meanwhile, Brandon's James Ehnes, well-known violin player in the area, won two classical awards.

Other award winners included Brett Kissel for breakthrough artist, while The Sheepdogs won for best video.
