Owners of the Farmery Estate Brewery will be appearing on the CBC television show "Dragon's Den" in the near future.

Brothers Lawrence and Chris Warwaruk, who grew up in Erickson, will attempt to pitch their business concept and product to a panel of Canadian business moguls on the taped show, which airs Jan. 8.

The brothers are looking for financial backing so they can build Manitoba's first microbrewery on their farm near the Arden area, which would include a tourist component, inviting the public to visit and tour the place where the beer is produced.

The brothers are currently producing their craft lager -- which consists of five per cent alcohol -- at a southern Ontario brewery and selling their flagship beer called "Farmery Premium Lager" in liquor commissions throughout Manitoba.

This will be the second time the brothers will be pitching their business concept to the Dragon's Den panel. Eight years ago, they pitched their smart card based gift card concept.

According to a release, Dragon's Den, which is filmed in Toronto, is the highest-rated Canadian unscripted program on during the regular television season, with an average audience of more than 1.2 million Canadians each week.
