Neepawa’s NAC-TV went live on MTS TV last week, meaning viewers from across the province can now watch the station.

Later this year, Bell ExpressVu satellite subscribers will also be able to watch the local station. NAC-TV’s expanded coverage is due to a move by the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission mandating that satellite providers include local programming. The station is being picked up to meet this requirement.

The local station also held a successful fundraiser last week when “Canada’s fiddling sensation” Calvin Vollrath played the Roxy Theatre.

Vollrath, who was accompanied by Patti Lamoureux, Jeremy Rusu and step dancer Rhea Labrie, entertained and enthralled a full house of very appreciative fiddle fans. The two hour concert was sponsored by Access2Books in support of NAC-TV and will be re-broadcast by the station.
