Rapid City 4-H Beef Club had a re-organization meeting on Nov. 26. Executive this year are president Thijs Van de Langemheen, vice-president Wyatt Inglis, treasurer Justin McKee, secretary Brooklyn Hedley, club reporter Anja Van de Langemheen, Banner scanner Sierra Inglis and member Zane Finlay. Leaders are Deb Inglis, Diana Van de Langemheen and Doug Finlay; Christa McKee is our area representative.

Dec. 2 is when we had our first weigh day. Everybody's project animals were weighed. Thijs will be taking a yearling heifer, progeny heifer and market steer. Wyatt will have a yearling heifer and market steer. I will have a yearling heifer and market steer.  Brooklyn will have a yearling heifer, progeny heifer and market steer. Justin will have a yearling heifer and market steer. Zane will have a calf.

As a club, we decided that every member would donate an unwrapped toy to Rapid City Christmas Cheer, along with a club donation of $100 to buy food to fill the hampers. For our Christmas party, the club went to the Escape Room in Brandon. Siblings also came so we were divided into two groups, for two rooms. We had an hour to find and solve the clues to get out of our rooms.  Unfortunately, neither group escaped their room in the allotted time. Afterwards, we had supper together at Boston Pizza, and all members were given gift certificates for the movie theatre.
