It’s a day that many people in and around Minnedosa have looked forward to for years, as the Dr. Ajai Khandelwal Primary Care Centre has finally officially opened. The 2.2 million dollar facility has been named after the local physician in honour of his 40 plus years of providing medical service to the community and its surrounding area. In a special ceremony, Dr. Khandelwal used a medical scalpel to cut the ribbon and officially launch his new namesake centre.

Three people have been arrested and are facing charges in connection to the death of a 62-year-old man in Neepawa back in late 2017. On Wednesday, Sept. 26, RCMP announced that after a 10-month investigation, a pair of people had been located and arrested.

The village of Kelwood has been gripped with ‘Chase the Ace’ fever that finally broke on September 15 when Kelwood Legion #50 President Larry Henton was able to hand over a winning check. Roxanne Lesanko of Dauphin was the lucky recipient of $34,297.

It may have been cold, but it wasn’t too-cold-for-icecream for this group of Terry Fox Run participants! Many others stopped for ice cream and a chat at the frozen treat checkpoint before continuing to make their way back to the NACI track for refreshments.
