Yellowhead Chiefs in MFMHL final

The Yellowhead Chiefs are a step closer to winning their first ever Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League championship. Last week, the team was able to defeat the Westman Wildcats in their semi final series three games to one.

The Gladstone Lakers have taken the first game of the Tiger Hills Hockey League final, with a 4-2 win over the Deloraine Royals. Around 250 fans packed the Gladstone and District Arena on Wednesday, Mar. 18 for the first game of the best of five series.

Gladstone sweeps Neepawa, faces Deloraine in THHL final

For the second straight year, the Gladstone Lakers have advanced the Tiger Hills Hockey League final. The Lakers were able to claim their spot in the championship with an impressive three game sweep of the Neepawa Farmers in their best-of-five eastern division final.

McIntosh stepping down as Natives president

Next MJHL season, we’ll still see Dave McIntosh standing along the end boards watching the Neepawa Natives compete, but he’ll be cheering them on as just a fan and not as team president. After several months of speculation throughout the community, McIntosh has officially confirmed that he will be vacating the position at the end of May.
