The Yellowhead Centre (YHC) board of directors met last week and set the rates for membership fees and ice rentals. Hall rates are still under review.

While it’s still a bit too early to say just how good or how bad the NACI Tigers football team could be this season, the coaching staff is very much looking forward to finding out. The team is heading into the 2015 Rural Manitoba Football League as a bit of a mystery, having lost nine players from last year’s squad, which made it all the way to the championship game.

A familiar voice for the Neepawa Natives and Neepawa Access Community Television (NACTV) has been silenced, as Gary Reidle passed away on Thursday, Aug 20, after battling cancer. He was 59 years old.

Neepawa Natives hope farmers will Harvest for Hockey

The Neepawa Natives are hoping a new initiative will grow a little extra support for their bottom line. The junior ‘A’ hockey team has created Harvest for Hockey, a project where local farm families are being asked to donate a portion of their crop to help support the operations of the club.

Brookdale youth in national motocross championship

It’s Brady McLeod’s first year competing in motocross and this week, the 15-year-old is taking part in the Parts Canada TransCan Canadian Motocross Grand National Championship. McLeod, of Brookdale, will be one of 42 qualified racers competing in the Supermini Class.
