A Neepawa golfer has been selected to play in the 2016 Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games. Daly Chartrand will be a member of Team Westman at the games, which are to be held in Steinbach Aug. 8-10.
Oak River wins midget ‘AA’ baseball provincials

The Oak River Bearcats are the Manitoba ‘AA’ baseball champions. The team, who co-hosted the U-18 midget provincials last weekend, were able to go undefeated in the round robin and playoffs on their way to securing the title. The Bearcats closed out the perfect weekend with a 15-1 win in the final against La Broquerie.
Neepawa Blue Dolphins begin swim season

The Neepawa Blue Dolphins are back in the pool and this year, they have 49 participants. To start off the season, Richelle Forgue, Bryce Kwiatkowski and Robyn Newsome attended the Summer Games selections, held on June 25 in Selkirk. The club would like to congratulate Bryce Kwiatkowski on making the Westman team and Robyn Newsome for being selected as a second alternate.

Quality defence and timely hitting was a recipe for success this past weekend in St. Lazare as the Neepawa Midgets went undefeated to advance to the ‘AA’ Midget Provincial Championship July 15-17 in Oak River/Hamiota.
