The Neepawa Natives have been counting down the days until the start of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) regular season. The junior ‘A’ team has been quite busy over the past few weeks, with both training camp and a series of exhibition games.

NACI Tigers tamed by Moosomin

A spectacular game from running backs Taine Middleton and Tanner Mann, still wasn’t enough to secure a recent road win for the Neepawa Area Collegiate Institute (NACI) Tigers. While the pair put up a combined 412 rushing yards and three touchdowns against the Moosomin Generals on Friday, Sept. 15, NACI still lost 64-26.

A dominant round from a pair of Brandon golfers has ensured that this year’s edition of the Sunflower Classic golf title will reside within the Wheat City. The duo of Judy Prange and Jayne Troop scored a combined 88 points on Saturday, Sept. 9 to top the field of over 100 competitors.
