Neepawa’s power-play and penalty kill proved to be deciding factors in the Neepawa Natives' impressive 6-1 win over the Steinbach Pistons on Wednesday, Oct. 11. Neepawa went 3-for-5 with the man advantage, while killing off six penalties, a perfect night on the PK.

Quality scoring chances were few and far between on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Yellowhead Arena, in a showdown between the Neepawa Natives and Selkirk Steelers.  The difference on the night, however, was that when Selkirk had opportunities, they took advantage, catapulting them to a 4-2 victory.

Action underway for Yellowhead Chiefs

All four versions of the Yellowhead Chiefs are back in action this hockey season. The AAA  Midget Chiefs kicked off their year with a pair of road games, the first in Winnipeg on Friday, Sept. 29, against the reigning league champions, the Wild.
