Kaitlyn Lawes to headline Minnedosa Sports Dinner

The Minnedosa and District Recreation Commission has secured a world-class athlete for the this year’s edition of its Sports Dinner. It has been confirmed that curler and multiple Olympic gold medalist Kaitlyn Lawes will headline the event, which is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20. 

Commission member and town councillor Frank Taylor told the Banner & Press that they are very pleased to have arranged such a well-respected athlete such as Lawes for the event.

Lawes has been a member of the Jennifer Jones rink since 2010. The team has won multiple world championships and Olympic gold medal in 2014. In 2018, Lawes along with John Morris won the inaugural mixed doubles curling tournament at the 2018 Olympics
