The Gladstone Lakers are moving on to the Tiger Hills Hockey League (THHL) final, after defeating the Neepawa Farmers 3-2 in overtime. Gladstone’s Trey Evenson scored 1:16 into extra time on Saturday, Mar. 10, to claim the best-of-five series victory in four games.

Graham Philp and Jesse Paradis notched the other goals in regulation for the Lakers, while Neepawa countered with goals from Ward Szucki and Garett Rempel.

Gladstone will now challenge the defending league champions, the Killarney Shamrocks in the final series. The Shamrocks earned their place in the championship with a three game series sweep of the Boissevain Border Kings.
