The Yellowhead Chiefs are proud to announce that Jalyn Elmes has committed to attend the University of Minnesota Duluth and play for the Bulldogs beginning in 2016.  UMD is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division 1 program that competes in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and is located in Duluth, Minnesota.

Elmes is a four-year veteran of the Chiefs who has played 193 games for the team, posting point totals of 27 goals, 59 assists for 86 points.  She has been an assistant captain the last two seasons and this year, was selected as team captain by her teammates.  

Elmes was Yellowhead’s most valuable player in 2014-2015 and a second team all star in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey league.  She has also been selected to Team Manitoba U-18 in 2014 and 2015 as well as Team Canada U-18 for a series against a team from the United States this past summer.
