Lyburn wins Neepawa berth bonspiel

One of the first major curling events of the season for western Manitoba hit the ice in Neepawa over the weekend, as Curl Manitoba hosted the Safeway Barth Bonspiel. Teams from across the province gathered at the Curling Club hoping to secure a spot in the 2015 Safeway Provincial Men’s Championship set for Brandon in February.

The team skipped by William Lyburn and based out of the Granite Curling Club in Winnipeg secured its spot in the provincials by defeating Jared Kolomaya from Stonewall 6-5 on Sunday.
