Kaiten Critchlow has been hired by the MJHL's Neepawa Natives as the club’s new marketing manager.

Critchlow, who volunteered as the team's media relations last year, will be stepping into the marketing role similarly filled by Cam Tibbett last season. Tibbett is pursuing other career opportunities, but will remain with the Natives organization as an executive board member and marketing advisor.

Critchlow brings with him a degree focusing on media communications and business administration, experience as the sports information coordinator and advisor to the student athletics committee for Providence College and, most recently, experience as an editor with the Neepawa Press.

Critchlow has a sports background as both a college athlete and community coach, and has been involved in organizing and promoting several community events within the Neepawa area over the past three years including the 23 Years Proud - Hazing Awareness Week committee, and the 2014 Bird Sanctuary Barbecue Fundraiser, as well as the creation of adult and youth indoor winter soccer programs.

All are invited to welcome Critchlow to the organization, new assistant coach Dustin Howden, as well as the new executive members, this coming Monday, Aug. 11 at the Natives' AGM, which will be held at 7 p.m. in the Vivian Motor Hotel's Banquet Room and will feature a financial report, comments from Natives personnel, as well as an update on the 2014-15 Survive or Thrive campaign.
