White inks deal with Flyers

Brandon product Ryan White has inked a deal with the Philadelphia Flyers on a one-year, two-way contract on Thursday. Financial terms were not disclosed.

White, 26, scored two goals and had six points in 52 regular season games for the Montreal Canadiens last season. He scored one goal in three Stanley Cup playoff games.

A third-round pick (No. 66) of the Canadiens in the 2006 NHL Draft, White has five goals and 17 points in 141 regular season games and one goal in 10 playoff games, all of which are with Montreal.

White is a former member of the WHL’s Calgary Hitmen.
